Animatic

Here is an editing screenshot of us stretching the timeline, as well showing the effects that blogger entails.

This is a screenshot of video transitions available

This shows the animatic as well as options for importation.

here is a screenshot of the uploading process to youtube.

In today's lesson we uploaded our animatic onto you tube and blogger , only playing around with basic effects as it is only the basis of what we will do in our film.We began by playing around with random effects such as posterizing  time - this made igsigificant difference, mosaic which completely blurred the screen in a pixelated manner .we then decided to play around with preset which included Image pan but we decided to make the title fade in( video transition) before transcending into a page curl for a notebook effect. As the page curl effect was so fast we enabled time stretch and altered the time line so that it was slightly slower, for the audience to take note of what is happening. We noticed that alot of the effects were very tacky and of course we are trying to the make the film look authentic which is why we will only be using basic effects to make it look effective and naturalistic. We then thought to print screen a few elements of our editing which I have uploaded on here so that it is able to be looked at.This was done by print screening before importing on paint and saving it as a Jpeg. This was saved under the folder screenshots .It was then uploaded onto youtube through Adobe and after was transferred over to blogger.

mood board- chris's character

Never- The use of never crossed out means he will never rule anything out, because he gets bored easily and likes to stray outside of the boundaries. The use of the red gives it a dangerous tone which suggests that he likes to play with fire.
I cant- this infers that he makes excuses for his behaviour as he dosent want to be labelled in a derogatory manner.
Note-the use of this shot I would reallpy like to replicate in our own to combine with the artistic effect.
I cant help it- this shows how he dosent take responsibility for the injustice of his actions.
destroy- he destroys those who he loves, through the wrongness of how he behaves.
violence- it shows that he isnt neccarily a violent peron but like the other he destroys relationships
Heart breaker- shows that he is a ladies man and that he breaks peoples hearts
Sorry- that even though he has done wrong, he wants forgiveness for his actions.
Broken heart- his heart has been broken by me finding out as he dosent want me to find out like this
I used to love her- shows that he used to love me but that people change as well as their view on certain things.`
I love  her-this refers to how he loves aimee
ignorance- how he is ignorant of other peoples opionions as well as thoughts an opinions.
sneaking behind your back- this is a representation of the whole love traingle situation.
two people in bed- this represents me and chris as they are turned away from each other .
love triangle- this pendant would be interesting if it was to be used as the triangular format can be seen as a symbol motif within the film.
doodle bubble-This promotes an artistic representation of the whole situation
violence cartoon-this shows how Chris's words has a negative impact on me  as I cannot believe how he has acted towards me.
cruel- this shows that he is vindictive, perhaps not intentionally.
dog- the tongue wagging expresses his lust.
i cant help it tshirt- shows again how he dosent believe he is to blame
we cant help it were men- again saying that automatically being a male results in infideilty
love cheat and steal- This shows how he loves me then cheats on me before stealing my best friend.
now what- shows how he dosent like being told what to do
ladies man- again showing that females are attracted to him
two girls one man- represents the whole love traingle
bad boy- shows that he goes behind my back and behaves in a manner that isnt considered the norm for our married status.

mood board amiees character

Here I have compiled a  mood board for Aimee's characterisation, entailing images which I feel convey her emotions, characteristics as well as norms and values.Below I have included a description of each individual picture and how it relates to the romantic hybrid genre that we have in cooperated.
  1. I love to cheat key ring -This symbolises the characteristics of Scarlett's character, suggesting that he is  a ove cheat by nature, and the fact that it says she loves implies he cant help himself, that even though a small part of her views it as immoral and wrong, she still succumbs to his needs, even if it means hurting those around her, that care for her the most.
  2. Cheating-The no cheating sign , represents the forbidden allure that attracts her, she cannot help herself from betraying her best friend despite the implications that are a result of this.It also shows that she portrays regret as she says to Chris she shouldn't be doing this.
  3. Pointing finger +Centre of attention-These two interlink as she demands be seen and heard , thus wearing outlandish clothing and exaggerated clothing. This is to make Chris notice her and not me as she loves him as he does as well.
  4. The use of whatever is quite loud in the use of bright colours and the lexis used.I quite like the artistic effect here and perhaps we could replicate it in our own film, maybe for the title although I don't think that would fit the romantic genre category very well.
  5. Attitude is a desicion- this reflects the brashy nature of Amiee how she wont take other peoples thoughts into consideration, and she dosent realise what effect this has on the people around her .
  6. the love cards- this represents the stages of her lust, which transcends into imflicting it upon Chris who in turn also becomes obsessed with her.The fact that it is a pack of card implies that it is like a pack of cards, that her fortune could change at any moment in reference to when I catch them cheating on me.
  7. The weirdly coloured lenses have been compressed very small to signify how although she does like to be centre of attention the men dont realise she is doing it to exploit the men into her trap, they are completely unaware of this knowledge.
  8. The scarlett nails are a symbolism of her promiscuity as well as motif of her name.Perhaps we could have an extreme closeup of her nails, which should be painted this very exact colour.
  9. megan fox - I would really a shot that portrays her in this manner, slightly looking over her shoulder and pouting in a way which she knows men wuill find attractive. The use of the red lipstick should be a key look for her as it relates to her name as well as her character in general.
  10. rude headphones - The use of the lexis rude implies that she dosent mince hew words as she is straight talking person and sometimes that comes out as rude, even if she dosent mean it in the way.
  11. spider- this implies that she traps men in her web, which infers that she is what's known as a ' man eater'.
  12. tiger - this expresses the fierceness of her character, if she wants something she will do her upmost to secure it.
  13. scarlett rose - roses although beautiful contain thorns so they can prick you, which suggests that she gets bored and thus the man gets hurt.
  14. side face with red lipstick - Another example of the symbolism, however the makeup should be more exaggerated than it is shown here.
  15. promiscuity- this suggests that she sleeps around and is vindictive in the way she behaves.
  16. stocking and boots- This implements the previous photo but also infers that she likes men.

props

  • Bed

Charley's bed
This bed is double sized and thus is large enough for me and Chris to fit in it, particularly useful for the scene where me and Chris are turned away from each other because it enhances the spaces between us both.

  • Duvet
we should have a flowery duvet like this as it expresses traditional feminity , symbolising my influence upon the household, almost as though despite Chris not succumbing to matrimonial duties, I still have a sense of home and duty.

Mood board: my character

This mood board I feel reflects the elements of my characterisation in the film, therefore each picture signifies either an emotion, characteristic or thought of my character Jasmine.Below I have outlined why I have used a particular image :
Angel- This signifies the angelic nature of Jasmine as she is generous, innocent and does her up most to help other people with the generosity of her heart. The pose here is of a young child, whoms hands are clasped together as though she is praying in a slightly sketchy/watercolour/artistic effect. The use of the backdrop makes the angel glow resembling the purity of her heart.Perhaps we could have a shot where this is replicated within our own composition, through a church shot as though I am praying for hope or forgiveness.
Laughing woman- She appears as though she is carefree and the background has been blurred so that she is the predominant focus of the frame. However she has been offcentered and is slightly tilted away from the camera which suggests that she doesn't like to be the centre of attention, as her responsibilities lie in family and household the traditional gender roles of a past society, so of course she is old fashioned. It could also represent how she is thrown aside for another woman.Perhaps we could have all of my shots offcentered to express this ideology.
Daisy- This closeup of a daisy is simplistic in its presentation and is held by a faceless child which represents the notion that although Jasmine tries to be a good wife for Tom , she is ignored in her pursuits and thus she is an obscured identity- she is a mistake to him that should have never happened and now he loves her best friend.
Venerable- The use of the t-shirt entailing the usage of the word 'vunerable' is illustrated in black block capitals, to enhance the venerability factor of my character, which relates to the gullibility of me being able to trust my husband and best friend, despite them both being turned against me through the love they have for each other.Again the use of the faceless identity represents this symbolism that I am overlooked.
eye- I would really like images of eyes to be a symbol motif throughout the teaser to display different emotions, as well as being an intriguing effect. We could do so many effects such as Black and white, sepia etc which can be done through Adobe Photo shop. This is shown through the two eyes which I have included here.
person giving money-this black and white shot entails an artistic effect, the focal point of it being the hands clasped together bearing resemblance to a heart, suggesting that she has a pure honest heart but also that she is generous( through the money that is in her palm). We should experiment with types of shots that can represent the generosity of my heart, perhaps by giving money to the homeless in a very quick shot.
Courageous-the word is against a purple background which enhances the flames bursting out of it suggesting although I am docile by instinct if I am betrayed I will succumb the hurt and do my best to cope in the agony perceived of me.
tree in hand- This represents hope for a better future or perhaps represents the insignificance of my character in comparison to  Aimee as I am viewed in a derogatory manner by my husband in favour for my best friend. The use of lighting is important here as the tree has been set against a bright sunny background which shows that although I am overlooked I do my best to prove my dominance in the society in which I live in.
person giving to the homeless- The little child is giving to the homeless which suggests that an innocence of nature allows the goodness and purity of a heart. This over the shoulder shot although of course will not be a homeless shot, is to be replicated often in our own film, so its important that we look at the framing of the shot, in order to achieve the best effect.
resourceful - this expresses that she does the best with what she is given as well making a positive of a negative situation. For example although I take the discovery badly, the implication is that I will become stronger as a result.
brave- this links in to Brave as I do my best to show that I am not effected by the news as drastically as I should be, as I am being level headed and trying to adapt to the situation.
mask effect face- This expresses that I disguise my true feelings and emotions, to protect myself from what could happen as I don't want to get hurt, it is almost as though it is a protective layer. The writing on it suggests that i am very secretive and keep things to myself.
gun woman- This is to show that if someone hurts me, I will do my best to revenge them as I will not put up with being cheated on, as it goes against the conventions of a traditional marriage which I am a firm believer in.The fact that its pointed towards the screen is an element of postmodernism, which I definitely want to include in our film, to make it  more interesting.
baby's foot - this contrasts against the natural delicacy of my character, where the innocence of my mind is extremely evident/apparent.The closeup shows that in some ways I am like a new born- I am dependent on others aka my husband when  I should be an independent woman- a modern role.
why? i really like this shot perhaps we could have this as an intertitle but pretend to spray it on so that it appears one by one, making it seem more realistic. The use of graffiti allows hybridity of the genre.
kitten and duck- The kitten appears to be caring for the duck which makes it seem as though my character is maternal, meanig that I feel it is my duty to look after others, even if they dont need it.Therefore it is important that we manage to convey this within our film.
mother and child in kitchen black and white effect- This I have put to implement the kitchen shot as they are both depicting the same denotation- of maternal and caring characteristics. However this one has a black and white effect which makes it seem quite arty.
tree covering- the shrouding of the tree like the mask expresses the secretiveness of my nature, perhaps because I feel that noone would listen if I asked for help.
child and mother playing- this shows the bond I have with people as I am a naturally kind and caring person, but it also shpws my wish for a family which cannot be fufilled at present due to my illness.

Character photos- Me

This is a photo of me pre filming, but this is the type of outfit which we would want to entail within our film. This is because it is an average every day outfit which is fashionable but unpromiscious in every sense, a symbolisation of my innocence and dull nature. The use of colours are dark rather than bright so that I blend in the background in contrast to the loud character that Aimee plays. As a name I have decided that Jasmine would be appropriate as to me it symbolises flowers- a representation of purity. It also makes me think ' cute' which shows that I am unattractive in comparison to Scarlett Aimee's character. We have chosen this name as it seems quite flirty and unattainable a well as expressing her as a desirable character to Chris.

Research and planning grade

There is proficient work on storyboarding and scripting, and minimal work on shotlists.
There is basic research into similar products and a potential target audience, with film trailers not analysed.
There is basic research into actors, locations, costumes and props.
There is proficient use of ICT and a good level of care in the presentation of the research and planning.

12/20 = C

Targets:
Develop explanations as to why locations are appropriate for chosen genre. Look at actors/costumes and props and explain your choices, linking to the conventions of the genre.
Analyse trailers that are on your blog - be specific about which details you would like to use and why they are effective.

Institution research

I have done some film research into popular romantic dramas to see who produces it, ditributes it ect. This is to make our film seem more authentic by using realism within our film. However equally we could make our own creation but their is danger in that it could appear unrealistic.
