possible magazine creations

We could use a picture like this i.e. me looking dominant against a blurred foreground, which suggests that I am the main focus of the magazine. The use of the artistic effect of black and white really signifies the dominance of the characters gaze as she stares into the camera, subverting Laura Malvey's male gaze theory of women being portrayed as sexualised objects because of the view of a hetrosexual male. This is usually because film magazines are aimed predominantly at men whereas I feel that ours should be aimed at women seeing as it is on the conventional films usually associated with women- Romantic Drama. Therefore we should also have the tagline ' Womens first film weekly' underneath the title( perhaps Fusion) to visually reinforce the fact that it is aimed for women. Therefore the content should include features such as top 50 countdown to your favourite romantic drama and hot guys ect.
 The title should perhaps be red or purple to express bold passion or embracing and celebrating femininity.



I.e something like this would be deemed suitable then underneath have the womans weekly tagline



Then underneath the main picture have the caption:
From the makers of proposal, comes the romantic drama of the year' Bitter Twisted Lies'! Here we take an exclusive look at the film itself and an interview with the lovely Ana De-Jesus herself, to see how she felt about being in her first lead role.
To the side of it have montages of other other romantic dramas with the title: You've voted we've counted, The countdown to the top 50 Romantic dramas begins...

This is what I based feature spots on as Empire is one of the most influential magazines of all time, but simply does not cater for a typical feminine audience which is why I have decided to make our own film magazine, which also shows originality.
