Framing -What are you doing here ?


This lesson was used to concentrate on framing and different speech inflections, in preparation for our actual task. This was done using the same piece  of dialogue ' what are you doing here' in several locations. Here I give you a shot breakdown in order to show that we have done here.
As you can see here the shot has been specifically framed from an over the shoulder angle in  order to view my shocked expression in the bathroom mirror, as I realise that someone is behind me. The use of placement has also been chosen to deliberately place me off centre to reflect the vulnerability and the unimportance of my character in this particular shot. The lighting has also been used to signify my innocent and submissive nature, with the use of bright white lighting that has a soft glow as opposed to a harsh yellow light. The dominance of Charley behind me is clearly  portrayed through the use of  my frightened lexis ' what are you doing here
