editing 12th March/cubase upload

I noticed this at the end of the trailer for 'One Day' and thought that perhaps we could use something similar to this at the end of our film.
  • Today we did periods 2,break,3 and 4 worth of editing and unfortunately Adobe kept deleting our work and shutting down incessantly, so it was very hard going. We did the following:
  • some quick ideas...
  • start with end, see my shocked face, then begin rest of teaser trailer?
  • have voiceover vows over again over the scene then ends with ' but it was all just a lie - soundtrack doesn't start yet
  • Charley said that we should end it when I'm looking shocked so that it doesen't give the plot away and she said she doesn't want to reverse the teaser, perhaps because it will be too hard to do.
  • need to look at institution beginnings e.g. putting paramount as our film company to start our film before transcending into our actual footage
  • transferred media over to Adobe, then dragged the clips over to the time line.
  • listened to footage sound and saw that it was quite disjointed and out of place therefore we need to mute the sound of the footage in certain sections, but keep parts where the sound is effective i.e some bedroom scenes for breathing effect
  • deleted some of the argument scenes because we were laughing and also the shove as it looked very ineffective and we were cut off the screen anyway. Also one of the argument scenes- Chris goes i have enough of your fucking and then it was meant to say shit but for some reason its been cut and i was not happy with this and suggested that we should cut it to when he says Iv had enough because then at least it makes sense
  • I realised that alot of the last scene was a very vibrant red colour which was very annoying because it was quite a good scene, we played around with some effects such as image control but it still looked bad, so were unsure on what to do but we will look at this more tomorrow.
  • had to render again because only the sound was playing  the footage wasn't
  • Changed order of the argument  start with me saying ' don't walk away from me' before transcending into ' why wont you listen to me as this flows better. However we still need to edit this further in order to make a smooth transition.
  • in the waiting room scene I look up so I suggested to Charley that we cut the clock shot straight after so that it looks time is going slowly- even though these are quick shots. I also need to find an audio of a clock ticking and somehow synchronise it so that it fits with the footage. We could also use the clock wipe effect here.
  • Put most of the voiceovers that we recorded unto the timeline and put it into an audio clip
  • cut point of view walking up the stairs shot because it was very shaky
  •  put the voiceover ' they were two best friends' over the  car scene clip
  • Put the voiceover ' I need to talk about Chris' over the bench scene
  • Then after school today I got my cubase composition file up that I created with Amir and then Miss Fuller the music teacher is going to place it unto the student shared network under Media Studies so I can access it and download it unto Adobe. This means our editing will then become better and proficient because the music creates a certain atmosphere
