Molly's creation of a film poster

In this lesson Molly comprised rough templates of what we could do for our film poster and we searched various websites including thisiscollosal.com and photobucket. Her first experimentation was with watercolour effects. Primarily she found a blue billowed effect before contrasting it with the red. She then immersed it together and faded the red out. However the blue appeared too prominent , so she might rotate the darkest bit or fade it out like the red.She then zoomed in and used the lasso tool just so she could place the blue more towards the right. She then decided she would keep it as it was because she thought it would look very effective. She then heightened the contrast of the red in order to make it stand out more. Molly also emailed me this interesting picture which we could use in our poster, and she suggested that the stencil effect could be applied here, which she would have a further look at in Photography her next lesson.
As you can see here the picture evokes a sense of rustic nature, clearly emphasised by the use of grass and the muddy hands. This could suggest that Chris is laid back and has a relaxed approach to troublesome encounters e.g. He had no sense of moral values like cheating on his wife ect

I then started searching the other ideas that we had for our film poster. This was for a black and white colour  effect of a woman crying.

I also did some photos at home on my phone just trying out a few things such as playing with makeup and facial expressions ect Here they are below:
